The cost of Your Personal Funeral Plan is calculated by adding the following:

Funeral Plan Base Price:

This pays for items that are included in all of the Funeral Plans provided by Funeral Plans Online. It covers: the Professional Fee of the Funeral Director; the Cost of Collection from place of decease; Storage at the Funeral Director’s Premises; and Provision of Four Bearers on the Day of the Funeral (see Terms and Conditions). This will normally be £850, £1250 or £1550, depending upon where you live.

Standard Allowance for Disbursements:

This sum goes towards the cost of services that are provided by others but are usually paid on your behalf by the funeral director. They include, but are not restricted to: Crematorium Fee; Burial Costs; Minister’s Fee, Doctors’ Fees; Organist’s Fee. This allowance is currently set at £700 which should be sufficient in most cases. However, if you wish to be buried in a city cemetery, where burial costs are generally higher, you may wish to include an additional allowance. (You can do this when you are selecting your funeral options.)

Cost of Options that you Select:

Where an option carries an additional cost, this will be shown alongside that option. These costs will be added on to the cost of Your Personal Funeral Plan. They will vary from one person’s plan to the next.

Funeral Plans Online Administration Charge:

This charge is to cover our costs.

It is currently set at £120. This amount does not form part of the monies for Your Personal Funeral Plan but it is paid at the same time as you take out your plan.
